Our Road Trip in the Motorhome

A few photos from our March motor home trip. We went along Route 66, covered 11 states, had lots of weather (tornadoes, snow, wind and a bit of sun). Highlights were the Oklahoma Bombing Memorial, the Presidential libraries of Clinton and Truman.

Dad's Passing

Dad passed away in December of '08. His grandsons were there to see him off. Logan, Christian, Zac, Blake, Tracey, Tyler, David, Vince, Nathan and Matt. The funeral was so nice. He left a nice legacy behind with family and his full life of doing his best. We love him and will miss him.

SUMMER 2008

THIS SUMMER WAS OUR CAMPING OUT SUMMER. We went to Red Fish with Sadie,
Maren and Tyler and rode bikes, sailed a bit and hiked. Red Fish is a beautiful spot in
the Saw Tooth Mountain range above Sun Valley. It was named because when the Salmon were spawning, it looked like a red lake. Now there are barely any salmon that return
due to the dams along the Snake River.

Then we went to McCall and stayed in Pondarosa Park. Most of the family came up
during the time we were there. And we did about the same things, biked, hiked, sailed and picked huckleberries. We have beautiful country in Idaho and it is nice that we can go in
our motorhome and stay whenever we want.

our china trip

Our trip to China was such a great adventure. We were gone for 2 weeks in May, 2008 with a tour group, China Focus. We saw many sites including large cities, ancient Chinese artifacts, the Yangtze river, the 3 gorges dam and many nice people who helped us learn about China. 1 in 5 people in the world are Chinese and those are just the people that live in China. I'm sure that we'll hear more from the Chinese in the future and remember what we heard and saw on our trip to CHINA.

Grandpa's 87th birthday!

Grandpa at his 87th birthday party. We had an open house at Legacy where G & G live. Grandpa is not quite up to par due to the fact that he spent a few days in the hospital on Christmas with a bladder infection and other health related problems. But he was pretty pleased with the birthday party when alot of his family came to wish him Happy Birthday.

This was the "official"announcement of what sex the baby is going to be. Brandon made 2 shirts just in case but he was pretty sure that it was going to be a boy. The waitor brought out blue drinks for all at the announcement party. The Hall's and the Stirling's were there to share in the surprise.
